Call for Participants

The Roma Women and Youth Association “LULUDI”, within the framework of the project “Roma Women Power in Democracy”, financed by the US Embassy in the Republic of Macedonia, invites all interested Roma women and girls to take part in training on personal capacities to participation in democratic processes.

The training will cover the following topics:

  • Increased participation of women in election candidate list for local and parliamentary elections: latest changes on representation of women in election candidate list;
  • Gender equality: legislation, practice, examples of implementation, gender budgeting;
  • Politics: politics vs. political parties, politics vs. power; Chronology of women politicians;
  • Political parties: creation, membership and structure, budget and sources of funding, Statute;
  • Advocacy and lobbying: teamwork towards a higher goal, communication skills, public speaking; An advocacy plan for the role of the media;

The training will be realized in two parts:

  • First part – 2 days, outside Skopje, during the month of September, 2016
  • Part two – 2 days, in Skopje during October, 2016

 

Roma women and girls over 18, residing in Macedonia are eligible to apply.

Travel, accommodation, food and working materials will be fully covered by the.
